            Delegate Hamrick moves to amend the bill on page one by striking the title of the bill and inserting in lieu thereof a new title to read as follows:

 

A BILL to amend and reenact §18-2E-5 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, relating to allowing county boards of education to use alternative assessment pursuant to the locally selected assessment option provided for in the Every Student Succeeds Act; requiring per-student costs for delivery and administration of alternative assessment equal to per-student assessment costs in statewide assessment contract; making department responsible for costs of collecting and submitting evidence to satisfy requirements in federal law and regulation; providing for alignment study if needed that uses certain approach and includes various test forms; and making technical corrections.
